Battery maintenance is the same for all battery-powered devices, including mobile phones. Batteries are categorized by type (NiMH, Lead-acid, Lithium-ion, etc.), but not by whether they are portable or stationary, nor by brand or manufacturer.

The rate of battery wear and lifespan depends on many factors. Battery quality and capacity are important, as are the intensity and frequency of use. Proper maintenance also affects battery life.

1. Avoid drops and impacts, especially avoid squeezing. Electronic products are generally fragile and susceptible to damage from drops and impacts, including power banks. A small power bank actually contains complex battery cells; drops or squeezing can easily damage these components. Some people like to place power banks under chairs or on bedside tables, where they are often covered by magazines and books. This can easily damage the battery cells.

2. Pay attention to temperature and humidity. Many people have experienced this: in humid weather, especially during the rainy season, the picture on a television may appear blurry and the colors may be distorted. This is the effect of humidity on electronic devices. Of course, power banks are no exception. Therefore, try to avoid storing them in environments with extreme temperature and humidity. If the weather is humid, you can use them more frequently to charge them; this is also a good way to protect them.

3. Avoid using the power bank before it is fully charged. This is similar to how you maintain a phone battery. Just as it's generally not recommended to interrupt the use of a phone battery before it's fully charging, the same applies to power banks. Before using a power bank to charge your phone, you should first fully charge the power bank itself. During this process, try to avoid interrupting the charging process, as this will also shorten its lifespan.
